PRIOR KNOWLEDGE- you must know where certain basic tools are located in the software

1.Photobucket I duplicated my base and set it to SCREEN 100% I also went to filter> sharpen> sharpen
2. Photobucket i duplicated my base again and dragged it to the top. I set it to SOFT LIGHT 100%. I also then went to filter> blur > Gaussian blur and set it to 2.0

CYANS- +100,-100,+71,0
BLUES- +100,+100,+81,0
NEUTRALS- -21,0,-31,0
4. Photobucket This is the second Selective colour layer

REDS- -41,0,+23,0
YELLOWS- -45,0,-37,0
CYANS- +100,+100,-64,0

8. now either flatten that or copy merged onto a new canvas
9. PhotobucketDuplicate your new base and set to SCREEN 50%
10.Photobucket Its another selective colour layer
Values are set to
REDS- +14,0,+2,+8

12.Photobucket duplicate your base and drag it on to, set it to SOFT LIGHT 50%. Also go to Filter>blur>gaussian blur and set it to 2.0 again
13. Photobucket Go to layer>new>layer. To get the fog effect select the paintbrush. Use the soft brush that fades out and apply. Change the opacity to 36%

WOW These are pretty easy instructions! I use to have PSP installed, but I hardly ever used it, and couldn't figure out on my own, nor find really simple tutorials, so I removed it. Besides I heard that PSP apparently stores doubles of everything or some such thing, taking up horrendous space on the hard drive. I'd love to try and make Icons though.

Since you seem to know your way around with Photoshop, I was wondering if you could help me with something.

I have a new digital camera and am very content with the photos it makes. I only have one problem; the photos often turn out too dark. I found a way to lighten them with Photoshop. However, because it’s a digital camera I usually make many photos. It would become an unending task to lighten every one of them.

Therefore, my question is; is there a way to apply an action on multiple photos at the same time? To lighten multiple photos at once?

I’m afraid it won’t be possible but if it is and you happen to know how I’d really appreciate the help!

you can create an action on photoshop, its a tab on one of your windows. You record your steps for doing your first photo and then press play and it will automatically do it for any other photos. However it won't do them all at the same time you have to press play for each photo you want it to do

Sorry for not responding sooner. For some reason I didn't get a notice of a new message.

Anyway thank you for your help. I'm going to try that out.

Thanks!
